You ever have a rough day? Don't you wish you could vent your frustrations out on a Wassie? How about punching a Wassie over and over and over again? Such fun.
Widely produced, 'weeble wobbles' are inflatable stand-up toys that have water or sand at the bottom base to keep it secured to the floor. The inflated upper section can bend and flex, and will bounce back to upright. This will keep the wassie bouncing back up for more action, now matter how much punishment you deal out. They are generally inexpensive, and would be a cute physical product addition for the Emporium.
I have already inquired about producing them, and felt the upfront costs to be prohibitive.
However, a solution was suggested (Thank you 0x) to use an existing weeble wobble product, and simply produce a sleeve that covers it. This could be a textile product, made of cotton or nylon for example, that has the shape and appearance of your favorite wassies!
Bonus!!! - We can create various 'attachments' for the product, using items and traits from the bywassies NFTs.
Imagine your bouncy weeble-wassie with an interchangable katana, knife, donut, toilet paper roll, or even a boat!
I am thinking about a grant to the tune of $1000 to see if this could be viable.
$500 would go to the Wassie Bounty page - looking for someone who can design the product with me, and sew the whole thing together.
$250 would be used to procure some sample, 'wobbles' and find one that works best. Different shapes and sizes will be inspected.
$250 would compensate my time for finding and testing samples, working with the artist on a few designs, and also for any shipping of materials to/from the artist.
Deliverables: A few completed prototype units of various sizes, along with required cost to make each.
Future Goals - If these prototypes turn out as amazing as I hope, we may have a viable product. At that point, I would inquire about start up costs for production, packaging, and distribution. and propose a grant for such.
WHAT SAY YOU WASSIE?
