I'm very excited, at this moment it's just a thought, but...
We should for sure start Wassie staking!
Wassies are crypto and crypto is Wassies.
So it would only make sense if there is a Wassie validator!
I'm actually surprised if we don't have one yet!
We all love the decentralized nature of crypto so it would only make sense if we contributed to it by having our own validator.
Being deep into a bear market it would make sense to start thinking about slowly converting some of the treasury to crypto again and what would be better than earning something extra with that crypto by staking?
It's actually so logical to do.
I was thinking it would be great and very interesting to do.
I'm an ERP dev, so I have some technical knowledge, but must admit I'm new to validating, but I'm confident it'll be doable.
I guess I would need starting capital for the 32 eth. I could put in a couple ETH myself if needed.
I would have to check what it costs monthly to validate using Azure or something similar, but it must be profitable to pay back the bills.
I imagine there are profits left to give back to the community/treasury.
I could implement MEV boost and I'm honestly hoping to earn something on it myself too if that's acceptable.
The community will get:
Our own Wassie validator!
Helping ethereum be secure and decentralized
Converting some treasury in ETH for long term investment
Earning a decent % yield on our treasury
Maybe we could make use of our validator node in more ways?
Open to suggestions!
